Gatwick Airport offers rail, coach and taxi options to get to and from the North and South terminals to your destination in London and the surrounding area 24-hours a day. A convenient and efficient way to get between the capital and the airport is on the Gatwick Express, a train service which runs directly between London’s Victoria Station and Gatwick. These speedy trains depart every 15 minutes in both directions between 06:00 and 22:00, and every 30 minutes at any other time of day. The trip takes 30 minutes and tickets are purchased on the train.

Thameslink also provides train service to and from Gatwick, which takes slightly longer but is cheaper. These trains run to London as well as Sussex and the South Coast. Coach travel is another affordable and convenient transport option. Companies such as Speedlink connect Gatwick with Heathrow, while Flightline runs frequent trips to London’s Victoria coach station. National Express can take you from the South Terminal to just about anywhere in the UK.

Black taxis line up outside both terminals, but the fare into London is quite expensive. Even more luxurious (and pricey) are the chauffeur-driven cars operated by Gatwick Airport Cars and Gatwick Goldline Cars. If you rent your own car, Gatwick is connected to London by the M25 ring road and to other UK destinations by the M23 which leads to the A23 motorway.
