There are more than a dozen hotels in the immediate vicinity of Gatwick Airport, including two major international hotels right at airport itself. A Hilton is located directly at the South Terminal, connected to the building by a convenient covered walkway. The Hilton’s facilities include a restaurant, fitness centre and swimming pool. At the North Terminal, the Meridian provides onsite accommodation. It has even more facilities, including a fully-equipped business centre.

Also onsite is a new capsule-style hotel similar to those popular in Japan called Yotel. This futuristic lodging option is located in the South Terminal’s International Arrivals area. Among the dozen or so hotels located within minutes of Gatwick Airport, the PremierTravel Inn is the closest. This comfortable hotel is just a five minute from the North Terminal. Most of the well-known international hotel chains such as Marriott and Holiday Inn have accommodations near Gatwick. The remaining hotels are independently owned and operated.

For something a bit more personal and charismatic, consider one of the 36 bed and breakfasts, inns and guesthouses located within minutes of Gatwick. Whatever style of lodging you choose, it is highly suggested that you pre-book your room online in advance of your arrival. There are several advantages to online pre-booking. The most important is that you will be guaranteed your room will be ready and waiting upon your arrival regardless of the hour. Online room rates are also typically much cheaper than those offered upon arrival.
